Day 31: Tuesday, November 20, 2018

No One In Need

“And they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.”

                                                                                                           Acts 2:45

There is just a surplus all over the world. What others consider trash is someone else’s answered prayer. A hotel had a brilliant idea of giving their buffet surplus to a soup kitchen serving street kids and the homeless. A shoe company decided that for every person that donates usable hand-me-down shoes, they will give gift vouchers to buy new ones. One church called for donations for hardly worn clothes from rich communities to give to poor families in their area.

If this was happening in every barangay, in every city, and every country, no one will be in need. Every need will be met Crime rate will be lowered and life expectancy rate will improve. Jesus did not send angels to answer prayers. God sent His people to answer to the needs of others.

The only way we can do this is by loving Jesus through our actions. The Acts church modeled their love for Jesus by loving their neighbors. They gave joyfully and without malice, criticism, complain, or judgment. Giving was as natural to them as breathing and this propelled the churches to grow exponentially.

PRAYER

Lord, help me to have the heart of generosity, to be
sensitive to your leading, and to be always ready to give
when the need arises so that many can experience the
goodness of God in their lives.

APPLICATION
