Day 14: We Worship Until His Return

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

                                       Zechariah 9:9, NIV

Do you worship no matter what you feel or what situation you find yourself in? It is hard to keep worshipping God when we feel lost, in pain, sorrow or in a very difficult situation. The Bible, however, is full of stories of people who worshipped the Lord in spite of their situation.  They made a choice not to be overwhelmed with their circumstances but rather focus on the greatness of God. And in doing so, a shift happened and they experienced breakthrough.

Do you need breakthrough in your situation? Paul encourages us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to always give thanks in the midst of everything, for it is God’s perfect plan for us in Christ Jesus. Start praising God. Declare His goodness. He is greater than your situation. He is more than able to move in your situation. Whatever you go through from hereon, always remember keep praising until Jesus returns.

PRAYER

Jesus, You are our Lord, teach me to worship You every day regardless of my feelings and situation.  Take me deeper in intimacy with you. Help me to keep my eyes focused on you alone. Amen.

APPLICATION

Think of a time when you God rescued you and start thanking Him for what He did and what He will do in your current situation.
