Day 37: Greater Things

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.”

                                                                                     John 14:12

Jesus modelled here on earth how we can walk the supernatural Christian life.  Many will say the Christian life is not easy, it’s impossible!!! This statement is true if there is no presence of the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus said that he had to leave so that the Helper, the Holy Spirit can come, He also meant that He can release and empower each believer.  When we are born again, it means that we are not only a new creation but we are given the Holy Spirit that indwells in us to have power to do greater things for Jesus.  Jesus came to show us how and when He ascended He gave the work He has done as our new assignment.  If he came to heal the sick, cast out demons, cleanse lepers and raise the dead, we too are able to do the same in Jesus name. We have no excuse not to be able to walk in the presence of God. We are the carrier of His presence and will do even greater things than He has done because the Holy Spirit is with us.

Today, thank God for the privilege to be used by Him to do even greater things than what He has done. Give glory back to Jesus for all He has done for you.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank you for the privilege of serving you. Thank you for empowering me to do what you have called me to do. Thank you that I can walk with confidence and boldness because your presence is always with me. Thank you that I will do even greater things than what Jesus did. I put my trust in you alone.   In Jesus’ name, amen.

APPLICATION

Start exercising your faith. Every time you see someone who is sick, ask if you could pray for them. Pray with boldness and faith for their healing.
