Day 35: Protected for a Purpose

“No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord.

                                                                                     Isaiah 54:17

For 3 years, I led a ministry as a volunteer. I was happy but also under a lot of stress, over-fatigued and was unhealthy emotionally and spiritually. Hurtful words were thrown my way. All the pain that I felt from people, I lash out by putting distance on God. Until I finally paused and whole heartedly prayed. I desperately begged for protection and haggled with God to rid me of own ways and plans. I stopped listening to the voices around me. I prayed to see what God has written for me.

I began to realize that my failures were victories. I was allowed to endure so I can be equipped to become a full-time staff in the ministry that I love. Joy was revealed in the end.

If you are in a season of great pain, I pray that you lean into Jesus and not run away from Him. He created you for a purpose. He is keen to make His plans come into fruition. Endure in the waiting process, knowing that no one can hinder God’s plan for your life. Absolutely no one.

PRAYER

Father,  thank you for reminding that no weapon against me will ever prosper. Thank you that  what the enemy meant evil against me, you are using it for good in order to bring about your purposes in my life. I will wait with hope and faith in my heart as this pain I am experiencing is but for a moment and will come to pass. Your glory will be revealed in the end. In Jesus’ name, amen.
