Day 16: You’ve Got to Believe

“It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that He exists and that He cares enough to respond to those who seek Him.”

Hebrews 11:6

Faith is like air. You can’t see it but you can breathe it in. When it’s in you, it keeps you alive. Faith enables you to live victoriously. YOU JUST GOT TO BELIEVE!

Yes It is easy to say “I believe” when things are doing good or when you are just cruising through life without any problem. But more often than not, there is something to test us, to challenge us. Crisis comes to push us out of our comfort zone.

Crisis is the best indicator of where one’s faith is. For during crisis, a characteristic of a person is revealed — either that of faith or that of fear. Yet crisis is where faith is forged!

We all go through a roller coaster ride sometimes in life — a ride that tends to make us worry, anxious and afraid. And usually, when we go through difficulties, we tend to ask, “Where is God when I needed Him?”

Yet, the question isn’t the absence of God in our situation, He is there! Rather, the question we ought to answer is “Will we trust Him in our moment of difficulty? Will we hold on to our faith in Him in the midst of the ferocious storms of life?”

God exists, God is good, and God is able to respond to all our needs. All we need to do is keep on believing, even if we don’t see Him or feel His presence.

It is our prayer that the grace of God will strengthen your faith when you go through the storms of life. May He reward you lavishly for trusting Him. We pray that God will pour upon you the choicest blessings and goodness of heaven.

PRAYER

Father, forgive me for the times when I waver in my faith. Help me in my unbelief. Help me to keep my eyes on You alone and not on my situation. In Jesus’ name, amen.

APPLICATION

In what area of your life do you need a breakthrough?  Do you need financial breakthrough? Find a bible verse about finances (e.g. Gen 22:14 -The Lord will provide) and meditate on it. Start declaring God’s Word over that area of your life. Apply this principle in whatever area you need a breakthrough. Believe.
