Day 10: Rescued From Death

I prayed to you, Lord God, and you healed me, saving me from death and the grave. Your faithful people, Lord, will praise you with songs and honor your holy name.

                                                                                Psalm 30:2-4, CEV

During a trip to our new church campus, a bus from the opposite direction beat the red light. I thought to myself, if the driver was not fast enough to step on the brakes, the bus would have hit us.  I found myself thinking, that was a close call. How many times have God rescued you, not just from road accidents but from life choices that could have cost you time with your family? So often, we don’t even realize that God has rescued us from our selfish desires.

As we continued to drive that day, I found myself praying with so much gratitude for God’s intervention in my life. He was not only present in that moment, but through sickness that I was healed from, and through bad decisions that I needed to be freed from. I could not help but bow down in worship for the countless times He saved me.

When was the last time God rescued you?
