Serve with Joy
Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.
Psalm 100:2
Today’s passage reminds us that to serve the Lord with gladness is a command and not an option. Serving God and others with joy should not be a mere responsibility but an attitude that we must cultivate everyday as believers of the Lord. Don’t serve God with murmuring, complaining, and whining. These things do nothing more than dampen your relationship with God and rob your ministry of effectiveness.
Whenever we serve in whatever capacity, serve with joy. Serving with gladness changes the atmosphere. It brings inner peace, renews your strength, and promotes unity. It infuses our ministry with motivation, fulfilment, and satisfaction. Serving God and others with utmost joy gives glory to God.
PRAYER
Lord, allow joy to spring from inside me as I offer my life in
service of Yours and others. May genuine gladness show up
in my face, and may gratitude drown out the temptation to
complain. In Jesus name. Amen.
