Serve with Accountability
“… When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.”
Luke 12:48
The more blessings we receive, the bigger is our responsibility to be good stewards. Whatever God entrusted to us, we need to utilize and maximize it for His glory. A hidden talent is a wasted talent. In the same way, over exposure can be a breeding ground for pride.
God gave us power. When we use it properly, it will give peace, joy, order, and great blessing. When power is abused, it will create chaos, abuses, fear, injustices, division and darkness. Power without accountability is dangerous and deadly. God did not authorize anyone to manipulate another person, group, organization, or even a nation.
The power of accountability is very critical in every relationship or organization. It provides checks and balances. Be accountable in everything you do. God gave you so much and He will require faithfulness in return. Be careful in using your gifts, talents, position, or even your influence as they can impact others in either positively or negatively.
Don’t be blinded with success but always humble your heart. Don’t be greedy with what God entrusted to you but be eager to share. Don’t abuse your position or authority, keep your integrity intact. Don’t manipulate people or situation, encourage them and always set an example. Remember that everything we have and everything we produce comes from the Maker of all, GOD!
