Day 18: Wednesday, November 7, 2018

What Will Be Your Title?

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant/
You have been faithful with a few things; i will put you in charge of many things.
Come and share your master’s happiness!'”
Matthew 25:21

If God allowed you to have one title, which title would you choose? What is the title you’ve been longing to earn? How would you want to be remembered at the end of your life? What’s the one word that you would want to be known by? Is it president, champion, best, most, first? The list goes on. Personally, I want to be remembered as Faithful!

Now, how does one become faithful? There are 3 factors to being faithful:
1.  Time. Faithfulness requires consistency. It is reliability that is proven over and over.
2.  Subject. What are you faithful to? Being faithful means being an exact replica or a copy of.
3.  Test. You can’t say you’ve been faithful if there has never been an opportunity to be unfaithful. Those who have been called faithful have stories to tell of how their faith was tested and proven.

So, considering my goal to be called Faithful someday, how do I prepare to meet my Savior? I need to strive towards a goal of Christlikeness, pour my life out as a servant to God and His people, and remain steadfast against temptations until the day He calls me. Only then will I prove myself faithful.

PRAYER

At the end of my life, Lord, I want You be able to say “well done my good and faithful servant”. I know it won’t be easy so / ask for your guidance. I ask that you give me the strength to finish well.

APPLICATION
