Living out the Kingdom of God
“All Your works shall give thanks to You and praise You, O Lord, And Your godly ones will bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power, To make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of Your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.” Psalm 145:10-13
In our home, we live the lifestyle of the Kingdom of God. We teach our children to be aware that God is our King and He still displays His great power and glory even today. We want them to see the goodness of God and how alive and real He is. So, we give them opportunities to see God at work. It can be as simple as praying in the parking lot for a parking space. It has never failed. Right after we pray, we see a car vacating the space we prayed for. Our young kids would beam with joy and say, “Jesus gave us that parking spot.”
One time our teenagers came home feeling overwhelmed from school assignments. We all stopped and prayed and ask the Holy Spirit’s guidance for time management and strategies to finish the work. We also sang praise songs to take away the worries. That night, heavy rain poured in. The city called for a school suspension due to bad weather. Our teenagers were ecstatic. Not only were they able to finish their work, they even had time to rest. They saw God’s hand on it.
Our children are also exposed to supernatural healing, including a paralyzed woman who is now walking. They see the miracles and mighty acts of our King Jesus and are encouraged to also pray in faith over the sick. True enough, healing takes place.
My son one time encountered a heated dispute between two people. He blurted out, “I cast out the spirit of division and anger in Jesus name”. The two people, instead of fighting, started to laugh because it was my young boy that was boldly casting out demonic forces out of their situation.
I know that because Jesus reigns in our family, we can see this passed on from one generation to another. Truly, if you let Jesus reign in your life, you will experience miracles and supernatural works of God in the most natural way.
PRAYER
Lord, I choose to let You reign in my life today. Let me see and praise all the mighty works of your Kingdom. I want to declare You not only today but to the generations to come.
APPLICATION
Pray and ask Jesus to lead you to someone whom you can show His power by sharing the gospel, praying over the sick, and casting out demonic strongholds.
